Anne holds a BA from The University of Tennessee and an MBA from Indiana University. Over the past decade in Knoxville, she has solidified her reputation as a dynamic leader through a career in marketing and large-scale event planning. Currently serving as the Director of Maker Initiatives at the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center, Anne leads initiatives supporting diverse entrepreneurs, employing organizational skills to facilitate collaborative networks that nurture sustainable businesses.

Anne's community involvement began by spearheading her neighborhood's traffic calming plan, demonstrating her proactive leadership in addressing local issues. Her dedication to public education intensified when her children enrolled at Beaumont Magnet Academy. Motivated to secure resources for magnet schools, she advocated for funding and assumed the mantle of PTA President, showcasing her advocacy skills and commitment to educational equity, even amidst the challenges posed by the Covid epidemic.

With the support of her husband, Shane, and daughters Grace and Layne, Anne is ready to be your voice on the Knox County Board of Education.
